A Perfect Inauguration/ BPEI / 2022

  A BPEI Journal entry/ 17/Dec/ 2022 " Want " is an interesting word. It means Lack, the lack of something that needs to to filled in. Once Its replaced with a entity desired, the "want" disappears. ------  Matt Haig, The Midnight Library.  Now the 'want' is BPEI (Bengaluru Print Exchange International), and the lack of activity- In exhibits- by Lavaru  art center. Also, I will replace yesterday with today since I was  Unable  to write yesterday. Lets go at the very start. 5:00 pm:  3 0 minutes left- Now the BPEI was very much magic to me! It was days of non-stop labor and today was the result in coming. I was well dressed up with a blue Shirt and ochre no pale tan pants, with a sleek watch.  5:30 pm: Right off the bat, two guests entered. Bengaluru Print Exchange International 2022 is open now Lavaru art center, Bengaluru organizes an international Printmaking event - Bengaluru Print Exchange International / #bpei2022. It showcases the works of 64 Printmaker, including 24International and 40National . The show got its formal opening in the presence of Sridhar Murthy, HOD Printmaking dept,CKP, Rafiq Mulla sir( Rtd. Supdt of Police, Bengaluru), Major Guruprasad on 17th December 2022 at 5: 30 pm  A catalogue, beautifully designed was published to commemorate  the event. For this project, printmakers across the world, got selected through an Open call. Some Printmaker also joined through an invitation. Each Printmaker has executed the print in specific sizes of 210 x 297 mm. Artist chose any of diverse media, including  woodcut, Intaglio, etching, viscosity, aquatint, mezzotint, linocut,  photogravure. The prints are handmade in contrast to mechanical reproduction of images i.e. digital photography. ...
